Welcome to Co-production Week Scotland!
This is our third annual co-production week where we can come together to learn, discuss and celebrate how co-production puts people and communities at the heart of the support and services they're part of.
This year we're focusing on stories of co-production. Whether they’re about reimagining how we engage with public services or the individual relationships so vital for co-production, we're thinking about what these stories look like and how they can help us understand why co-production is such a challenging, exciting and empowering approach.
Stories of how co-production can happen run right through the week's activity.
In our first story from community project Galgael in Glasgow, we see the long and sometimes challenging journey they took to co-produce an organisational charter. We see the story of relationships, process and how, by taking a co-productive approach, the development of the charter told the story of Galgael itself.
Storytelling is also integral to our first learning event where we explore legislative theatre: a creative, fun and participatory policy-changing and civic-engagement process. We'll see how plays based on people's lived experiences can help inform what policy looks like in a way that reflects the collective decisions and ideas of everyone involved. We can't wait to try it out.
Throughout the week and in to the coming months, we're building on the 100 Stories of Co-production work that has captured the warts and all accounts of how we can take co-production to the next level in Scotland.
We've also got lots more to share and get involved with and we'll be updating you throughout the week using #CoProWeekScot and @ScotCoPro. There's also loads of activity from network members and partners throughout the week, including our colleagues from The Alliance, the Church of Scotland, Iriss and more. You can see everything that's happening here and let us know what you've got going on here.
We'd like to say a big thanks to everyone who's contributing to the week - in the spirit of co-production there's so many people using their time, ideas and experiences to tell their stories and we're so grateful to have them, and you, along with us.
We hope you enjoy the week.
