SCN Round Table Learning Event - report
We recently brought together network members to discuss their ideas, priorities, and feedback on what we should focus on for the year ahead. This is what we heard:
More networking and peer support
A focus for this year will be on making it easier for people to come together in open spaces, often in person, to develop collective action and resilience, and support the building of a network of networks in spaces not held solely by SCN.
Supporting learning and mentoring
This work was framed as core capacity building to support the wider community of practice. We will focus on building skills around facilitation and supporting lived experience, with the core idea that when it comes to co-pro, progress matters more than purity.
Events, resources and promoting good practice
We learned that in-person events are really important to the network in fostering supportive peer learning and building relationships. We're also refreshing the website to better showcase our resources and signpost to relevant material.
